花巻の家

夫婦と子供の4人家族の住まいである。敷地は、花巻空港に近い静かな住宅地。家全体が限られたスペースの中で視覚的に広がりをもち、各自の専用収納スペースを確保しながらも、程よくプライバシーを保つことができる住まいを計画した。それらを実現するため、2層吹抜のリビングを中心に、1階に主寝室、キッチン、玄関（土間）、2階に子供部屋、スタディースペース（書斎）、ロフトを配置した。子どもたちが、吹抜を中心に走りまわり、段差に腰かけ、本を読み、のぞき窓からリビングにいる家族の雰囲気を感じ、声を掛け合い、いきいきと健やかに育っていくことを願っている。

This house was designed for a family of four — a couple and their two children — located in a quiet residential area near Hanamaki Airport.
Within the limited site area, the design aims to create a sense of visual spaciousness while ensuring that each family member has their own dedicated storage space and a comfortable degree of privacy.To achieve this, the layout centers around a double-height living room: the first floor houses the master bedroom, kitchen, and entrance (with an earthen floor), while the second floor contains the children’s rooms, a study space, and a loft.
The design envisions children running around the open space, sitting on steps to read, peeking through small openings to sense the presence of family members in the living room — growing up lively and full of vitality in a home that nurtures connection and independence alike.
